Jane Heun Armstrong, 77, passed away on October 6, 2018, at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community in Quarryville, PA.

She was born to the late Edward and Jennie Heun, April 16, 1941, in Philadelphia, PA. Jane graduated from Penn State with a degree in math and loved tutoring children in math throughout her life.

Jane was a dedicated homemaker and is survived by her daughter Jean and her son Paul, along with his wife Sonya and their children Abigail, Elliott, and Luke, whom their grandmother loved very much.

Jane was always involved with church, and she attended Bible studies and prayed for her loved ones as long as she was able. Because she loved little children, she often worked in the nursery and children’s Sunday school where the children called her Grandma Jane.

Music was a lifelong passion of Jane’s. When she was young, she played the clarinet in the marching band in school. She also played the piano and loved to dance. She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, from oldies to musicals to hymns, and found comfort in them until the end of her life.

Viewing ceremony will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 10:00AM followed by the service at 11:00AM at Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home, 200 Rose Hill Rd, West Grove, PA 19390. A private burial will take place after the service.

The family asks that people make donations in support of Alzheimer’s research, breast cancer research or to Samaritan’s Purse in lieu of sending flowers.
