William “Don” D. Pierce, Jr.

November 29, 1952 - July 7, 2018 Kennett Square, PA | Age 65 Loving Partner, Father, Brother and Friend.

WILLIAM “Don” D. PIERCE, Jr., age 65, of Kennett Square, PA, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester, PA.

Born in West Grove, PA, he was the son of the late William D. Pierce, Sr., and the late Janet Burket Pierce.

He was an electrical engineer at Shah & Associates in Gaithersburg, MD.

Don was a graduate of West Chester University and served his country as a member of the U.S.  Air Force and the Air Force Reserve.

He enjoyed working, fishing, classic cars, golfing, his dogs, and being with his family and friends. He was the soundman for the Rio Bravo Band.

Don is survived by his partner of 22 years, Sharon Nordstrom of Kennett Square, PA; two sons, William “Donnie” Pierce, III, and his wife Stephanie of Fuquay Varina, NC and Andrew Pierce and his fiancée Taylor Del Rossi of Blackwood, NJ; one daughter, Heather Pierce of Oxford, PA and one sister, Susan Farmer of West Palm Beach, FL.

He was predeceased by one brother, David Pierce.

You are invited to visit with his family and friends at a Remembrance Gathering, Hilton Garden Inn Kennett Square/Longwood, 815 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, PA, on Sunday, July 22, 2018, from 11:30 am-2 pm.

  2. I did not know Don very well I met him at some of AECOM’s Holiday parties. I know Sharon very well Don’s partner he must have been special knowing the kind of person Sharon is our prayers are with the family and may GOD Bless and keep all of you at this time of sorrow.
