  3. My heartfelt condolences to the Bertogli family with the loss of your beloved JP. He cherished his father and the grandeur of his beautiful old Kennett Square home — filled with so much family history. He enjoyed summers on the front porch with a good bottle of red. J, with a fine Australian shiraz, I raise my glass and remember you friend.

  4. My deepest condolences to Vico and the rest of JP’s family. I’ll never forget that laugh and carefree attitude that JP seemed to always have. We shared a few fishing trips with the most memorable one a fly-in trip we made to Manitoba Canada. This is were I learned how loud a human being can snore. I’ll miss you brother, Rest In Peace

  5. My thoughts and prayers go out to JP’s family. I went to school with JP and remember him as always making me laugh. He was one of those people that touch your heart and you never forget them. I feel blessed to have known him. RIP my friend.

  6. My condolences to the Bertolgi family. I have known the family all my life. Went to school, worked and socialize with all of you at one time or another. JP was special to me because we shared the love of Golf and the competition that went along with it. I referred to him as Julius after Julius Boros who had similar body features and a great short game. We were great match play partners, winning too many tournaments to list here but the Pike Creek Match Play and Inaugural IACL tournaments as well as our share of the “chippers and sippers” matches, will always be in my mind. May God bless you and your family.

  7. To the Bertogli family, especially Rosemary and Vico: I’m so sorry to read this sad news. I remember JP well as your little brother, back in the day. I know it’s difficult to lose a sibling, and my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  8. JP – you will be deeply missed. Some of my favorite times were with you and your nephews over the holidays going toe-to-toe with each other discussing ways of making our beloved sports teams better and god forbid champions !! I am SO happy you got to see our beloved Phillies & Eagles win a championship. I always knew your voice was the “voice of reason” and I agreed with you almost all the time !!! Nothing speaks more of your selflessness and love for family than the many years your Dad lived with you before he passed away. You are truly one of the great ones buddy and I will definitely miss seeing you & hearing your voice. Rest in peace my friend.
    Love,
    Barry
