Catena, Camillo (Camil), formerly of Kennett Square died suddenly on October 6, 2018 at the age of 84.
Camillo was a member of the Kennett Optimist Club, KAU Little League and the Italian American Club, where he enjoyed many good times with family and friends.
Camillo had been in the mushroom industry for many years. After that his passion turned to the restaurant business. He owned the Beef and Barrel in Hockessin, Delaware and managed the Hockessin Memorial Hall. He was always seen at the Hilltop. He enjoyed spending time at the Huber House in Ocean City, New Jersey and keeping score for Catena’s softball team.
Most of all, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Camillo was predeceased by his wife Carolyn C. Catena, by his parents Amelia Fabiucci and Camillo Catena and his sisters, Teresa Vincenti, Ilda Sullivan and Betty Deery.
Camillo is survived by his three children Cindy Dietterick (Randy), Billy Catena (Amy) and Annette Vattilano (Robby). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Camil is also survived by his companion Dot Mummert.
Visitation will be held at Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home 250 W. State Street Kennett Square on Friday Oct. 12 from 5-8PM and on Saturday Oct. 13 from 9:30-10:30AM.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, Kennett Square on Saturday Oct. 13 at 11AM.
Interment will be private at a later date.

  6. Fond memories of the fun times we had at The Red Fox Inn when Camile would take the floor and do his interpretation of Cleopatra and Mark Anthony rowing a boat down the Nile.
