Bob proudly served in National Guard for 3 1/2 years.

He was a 1957 graduate of Seaford High School,  where he was noted to be mischievous and “teachers pet” with a great sense of humor.

He was an avid collector of “stuff”, loved to fish, cook & eat! A lifelong Eagles fan he was thrilled when they won the Super Bowl.

He was top salesman at Millers furniture in Wilmington for many years, he could sell you anything. He always had a kind word for everyone. His American Legion family describe him as a great guy who loved a good joke & will truly be missed by all. He had a love for life & he genuinely appreciated the close relationship he had with his children. He always looked forward to family gatherings, especially crab feasts

He is survived by brother Jack Booth, son Rob Booth, daughter Maryanne Booth and her partner Andrea Youndt, daughter Cate Toner & husband Mike Toner, grandchildren, Meghan, Michael, Ashlyn & Joseph (deceased), great grandchild McKinley, and long time friend & companion Sissy Crockett.

He was predeceased by one brother Richard Booth.

  7. I always smile whenever I think of Dad. He loved his family and was always so easy-going and easy to be around. It was amazing how he could somehow guess what was inside a box before he opened it. He also had an uncanny knack for buying the best gifts, nothing expensive, but always well thought out and straight from the heart.

My brother Tommy will always remember watching Dad, with a huge smile on his face, as he watched Shinn-bone lead the “Soul Train” through 3 Young Lane as Mick and the Boys blared in the background. Great times ….. I’ll never forget.

The Thanksgiving holiday we celebrated in Portsmouth with the entire family will remain one for the ages …..

I believed Dad lived a full life, enjoying the simple pleasures to the fullest, the ones you can’t buy with all the money in the world.

I will miss him a great deal.
