July 30, 1940 - September 19, 2017 Kennett Square, PA | Age 77 Loving Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother and Friend.

BILL J. OSBORNE,  age 77, of Kennett Square, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Twin Pines Health Care Center. He was the husband Selma Bernice Ham Osborne, who passed away in 2012 and with whom he shared 40 years of marriage.

Born in Mountain City, TN, he was the son of the late Burl Osborne and the late Rebecca Church Osborne.

Bill was a steel worker retiring from Lukens Steel Co., in Coatesville, PA.

He enjoyed yardwork, gardening and taking care of his family. He was a hard worker, and would help anyone, whether he knew them or not.

He is survived by one son, Thomas Osborne and his wife Angie of Nottingham, PA and a grandson Austin Pierce of Kennett Square, PA, who he helped raise; four daughters, Delores Garst and her husband Paul of West Grove, PA, Victoria Harris of West Grove, PA, Ronnice Osborne of Kennett Square, PA and Katrice Osborne of Kennett Square, PA; several brothers and sisters, fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by four sons, William Osborne, Jr., Richard Osborne, John Osborne, and Tommy Briley; and his first wife, Brenda Daddazio Osborne.

A Memorial service will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 Tuesday afternoon, September 26, 2017 at the Mendenhall Inn, 323 Route 52, Mendenhall, PA 19357. Burial will be held  at 10:00, Wednesday morning, September 27, 2017,at the Union Hill Cemetery, Route 82, Kennett Square, PA.

  3. I never met Bill, but I surely know Samantha, his granddaughter. I feel her loss like my own, because I consider her part of my chosen family in this life. So Bill… Have a nice trip sweet man, open those wings and fly high to the sky, where the pure and bright souls get rewarded for the time they spent here with us. Farewell and shine sweet man…
