  1. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. My memory of Dominic is from a long time ago, but it is a fond one.

In the early 1960’s, I was a little girl and lived across the street from the Della Valle family in New Jersey. I adored the entire family. For Mr. Della Valle, I felt an extra measure of respect, and evidently, trust. He had a talent for freeing a dangling baby tooth. At least once, maybe twice, I crossed the street for his assistance. He made it possible to get that dime from the tooth fairy a day early, and helped me feel brave.

Mrs. Della Valle, you provided the memory of the most amazing meal I ever had as a child! I still remember it more than 55 years later. My heart and prayers are with you and your family.

    With love, Joanne Young
